According to the media reports, an official from the Ministry of External Affairs had said that this move by the Foreign Minister of Pakistan is contrary to the measures being taken by Pakistan's leadership to restore relations with India. He said that this move by Pakistan has exposed the lack of leadership of Indo-Pak relations.

Here, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, President of the Hurriyat Conference, welcomed this move of Pakistan. Mirwaiz Umar Farooq said that the Pak Foreign Minister has told him that till the time India and Pakistan do not talk to each other, the Kashmir issue will not be solved.
