On Saturday, a Pakistani journalist was arrested for uploading 'offensive and disgusting' posts against judiciary, government institutions and intelligence agencies. Rizwan Razi, anchor of talk show on Din News, was arrested by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) from Lahore's home. The FIA said that in the initial investigation, it has come to know that he posted this derogatory post from his Twitter account.
The investigating agency said that Razi first joined the investigation and in his statement, he had confessed to uploading abusive posts against the judiciary and other departments from the Twitter account since 2011. For this, he had also apologized, but despite this he continued to do so.
Forensic data has revealed that Razi has uploaded humiliating and disgusting post through social media against judiciary, government institutions and intelligence agencies.
A new cyber law under PPECA filed on Razi . On the arrest, along with journalist organizations, Pakistan Muslim League (Nawaz) PML-N and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) have condemned and demanded immediate release of him.
