Between the political battle of the Lok Sabha elections, Lalit Modi, the former IPL chief, has threatened to sue Congress president Rahul Gandhi. In his speech, Rahul Gandhi had called '“all Modis are thieves”', from which Lalit Modi has become upset.

“Rahul Gandhi says ‘All Modis are thieves. Well, he will be taken to court in the UK by me. But the reality is that the world knows five decades of daylight looting of India was done by none other than the Gandhi family,” Lalit Modi tweeted on Friday morning tagging PM Modi on the micro-blogging site.

Lalit Modi put a video with his tweet in which he put the list of Congress scandals in front. Lalit Modi wrote that for five decades, Gandhi family has been plundering India and they are accusing us of it.

Sushil Modi has filed a criminal complaint before a Bihar court under Section 500 of IPC (punishment for defamation) against Gandhi for the same comment.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi had said in a public meeting that 'Neerav Modi, Mehul Choksi, Lalit Modi, Mallya, Anil Ambani and Narendra Modi - are a complete gang of thieves. Rahul was ridiculing Modi surname jokingly and asked that I have a question. Why is all the thieves 'nickname Modi?'

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attacked Rahul's statement. In a public meeting in Maharashtra on Wednesday, PM Modi had said that Congress is abusing a society by abusing me, Earlier he said , All the chaukidars are thieves and now they are saying that all Modi's are thief. The Prime Minister had accused the Congress that he was abusing the backward society.
