A hearing in the court of London will start on Friday in the Extradition case of fugitive diamond trader Nirav Modi. A joint team of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials arrived in London. An official told that the team consists of joint director level officers of both the agencies.
Nirav Modi was arrested last week in London after fraud of 13,600 crores of Punjab National Bank.
In today's hearing, the team will present necessary documents other than copies of the chargesheet lodged against Nirav Modi, his wife Ame Modi and his uncle Mehul choksi and others by CBI and ED. According to sources, CBI and ED will try hard so Nirav would not to get a bail.
ED will present documents related to Nirav and his associate companies property worth Rs 147 crores. In the matter of PNB fraud, the ED had seized the property on February 26.
Criminal prosecution service will be assisted by the joint Indian team of officers of CBI and ED during Friday's hearing on Nirav Modi's bail plea.
