There is a dispute between the US and India in the recent times about Russian arms, but there is a big news in the meantime. Two US Senate MPs have submitted a resolution in the House, under which they have said that India should be NATO member so that India can easily sell US weapons. If a member is not created, then this status should be given to India. If this proposal is passed then India will be able to get the latest weapons from the US. The special thing is that the two MPs who have brought these proposals, both of them are from the party. From Mark Warner's Democratic Party to John Corliny Republican Party, before that both of them have already sought to declare India as the important Defense Assistant to America.
This demand of MPs has come to the fore when the next week is the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump. Both leaders will meet in the G20 summit in Osaka, Japan, while American Foreign Minister Mike Pompey will soon visit India. Significantly, there is a COMCASA Treaty sign between India and the United States, under which there is a security as well as a technical transaction. Apart from this, both are talking about BECA i.e. Basic Exchange Corporation Agreement.
If this status is attained then India, Israel, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea will be in the category of countries. US-INDIA Strategic and Partnership Forum chief Mukesh Aghi, who spoke on these issues between India and the United States, also endorsed this proposal of American MPs and said that doing so would further strengthen the friendship between India and America. Let me tell you that this proposal has to be passed in both the Senate and the House of Representatives (governor) both houses, only then it will be applicable.
