Kabul: Eight militants were killed in a drone attack by NATO-led alliance forces in eastern province Nangarhar in Afghanistan. Afghan Army Core Seal released the statement on Friday and said that in the Khogayani district, eight IS terrorists were killed in the drone air strike of coalition forces, including the local commander of the ISI, Abu Azar.
According to the statement, The mountainous province, 120 km east of Kabul, has been the scene of clashes between security forces and IS militants from time to time.
Those among the killed was an IS local commander named Abuzar, the statement said, adding no civilian was hurt during the sortie.
Afghan air force and NATO-led coalition forces have accelerated air strikes against terrorists in recent times. The terrorist organization has not yet responded to this incident.
