Chashmididas said that the sound of shooting near the Al Nur mosque in Christchurch was heard. Police have refuted people from going to the area.
According to the New Zealand Herald, 27 people have died in firing. Police Commissioner Mike Bush said that the gunman attacked in two mosques. In this case a person has been arrested, it is believed that he is also an attacker. New Zealand's Prime Minister, Jacinda Ardern has said that firing has occurred in the mosque located in Christchurch. This is one of New Zealand's darkest days. The city has been locked down, i.e. no one can go out of town or nobody can enter. Police have said that an attacker in Christchurch is active and due to which the circumstances are serious and are changing rapidly.
One of the neighbors described mass casualties within the mosque and said that he saw that gunmen fled.
