Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Prime Minister Imran Khan greeted each other during the SCO Summit in Bishkek. In Kyrgyzstan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Imran Khan formally met on 7 different occasions each other.
PM Modi and Imran Khan appeared in front of Kyrgyzstan President Sunonbe Jeanbekov on a dinner on Wednesday several times. Apart from this, Modi and Imran Khan met each other five times on Friday. Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi has confirmed the meeting of PM Modi and Imran Khan.
Not official talks with Pak
At the international level, India has decided to isolate Pakistan. Unless Pakistan is initiated to stop terrorist activities from their side, India will not have any talks with Pakistan directly. This is the situation continuously since the Pulwama attack.
There will be no talks between PM Modi and Imran Khan other than the SCO conference. PM Modi met the heads of all the countries present there, but not with Imran Khan. Both leaders came to the hall at one time.
PM Modi was leading ahead of Imran Khan But there was no negotiation between both of them. In the hall, PM Modi was sitting just three seats from Imran Khan. Both leaders remained close to each other in the Gala Cultural Night Program. But there was no talk in both of them.
Bitter bit after the Pulwama attack
After the Pulwama terror attack and Balakot air strikes, it was bitter relationship between India and Pakistan. Continuous talks are being offered from Pakistan. But India clearly says that unless there is a ban on terrorism from across the border, there will be no talks between the two countries.
Recently, the Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravish Kumar had said that there will be no talks with PM Narendra Modi and the Pakistani PM's at SCO conference in Bishkek. He had said that no meeting is scheduled between the two leaders. Earlier there had been news that on persisting on this approach PM Modi neither looked at Imran Khan nor shook hands.
