A tour bus caught fire in central China's Hunan Province on Friday killing 26 people and 30 injured, local authorities said.
The 30 people injured in the incident were taken to three local hospitals for treatment. Five of them are said to be in critical condition, the news agency Xinhua told the local authorities.
The accident occurred around on Friday evening when a bus caught fire, in which 56 people were boarded on a highway in Hanshou County in the city of Changde. The injured have been admitted to the three hospitals for treatment. The bus was carrying 56 people, two bus drivers and one tour guide. Immediately after the incident, the police arrested both the bus drivers and got involved in the investigation of the incident.
The incident came a day after 64 people lost their lives while 640 were injured in a powerful explosion at a chemical plant in eastern China.
According to the government, after a fire in a chemical industrial park in Yancheng, Jiangsu province a blast occurred.
