China has once again blocked a move from the United States, United Kingdom and France to bring Masood Azhar, chief of Jaish-e-Mohammed terror organization under UN sanctions.

China held a "technical hold" on the process just before objecting to the proposal passed by the United States, Britain and France to imposed United Nations sanctions on the head of the Jaish-e-Mohamed chief, which ends at 00:30 on Thursday morning.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravi Kumar said in New Delhi, "We are disappointed with the result." "It has prevented the action of nominating the leader of the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JM) leader by a international community, who has taken responsibility for terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir on February 14, 2019."

This is the fourth time when China has blocked a move to bring JeM chief under international sanctions, which is to save its friend from Pakistan from embarrassment.

The latest move to bring the Azhar under United Nations sanctions was initiated by France, United States and United Kingdom – the three of the five permanent members of the Security Council – after a suicide bombing by a JeM terrorist killed over 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel at Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir on February 14, resulting in escalation of tension between India and Pakistan.

Experts believe that many big interests of China have been hidden behind Masood Azhar being denied global terrorism. China also knows that after Hafiz Saeed, if India succeeds in incorporating Masood Azhar in the list of the United Nations's banned terrorists, then it will reach one step close to declaring Pakistan a terrorist-sponsored country. In such a situation, the western countries including the US will impose all kinds of restrictions on Pakistan, which can lead to political and economic difficulties for Pakistan. At the same time, It will have a special effect on China.

China is also trying to bring Russia in support to Pakistan. In the past four years, China has made a big investment in Pakistan. It includes the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, which is being made from $ 50 billion i.e. CPE. Explains that China fears that if It did not support Masood at international forums, So China may be lose a lot due to its large investment.
