In the Lok Sabha elections, no discussion was received by UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, she has given Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot a major responsibility at the national level. Gehlot, who displayed his political skills in the elections of Gujarat and Karnataka, will now work to determine the format of the UPA-3 in the national political system.
Sonia Gandhi has entrusted her trusted senior leaders with the responsibility to bring non-NDA parties with the UPA before the election results. Apart from Gehlot, the party's treasurer Ahmed Patel, P. Chidambaram, and Ghulam Nabi Azad are among these leaders. These leaders, on May 23, before the election results, YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy, TRS chief Chandrashekhar Rao, Naveen Patnaik of BJD, Mamta Banerjee of TMC, Akhilesh Yadav of Samajwadi Party, BSP supremo Mayawati, Aam Aadmi Party's Arvind Kejriwal and leaders of the Left parties.
With the new responsibility, Gehlot has taken a fight in Delhi and sitting in Jodhpur House, he will explore the possibility of forming a non-NDA government at the Center. It is believed that Gehlot will now stay in Delhi till May 23. During this time the work of the State Government will also be operated from Jodhpur House. Gehlot also called Delhi to discuss the Chief Minister's office and some senior officials of the government.
Gehlot is called the magician of politics. He is among the most trusted leaders of UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi. The Congress high command is highly impressed with the role of Gehlot in the formation of a coalition government with the JDS in Karnataka, the spectacular performance of the Congress in the first Gujarat Assembly elections and then the JDS in Karnataka. That's why he has been given this big responsibility.
