National| There are few days left in the announcement of the dates of the Lok Sabha elections and before that the government has decided to give the second installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Adhikar Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme to the farmers without even the base number. Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad informed about this. He said that the Aadhaar card will not be required for the second installment of Rs. 2,000 to be sent to farmers on 1st April, under the scheme. Explain that the availability of the base was kept optional to get the first installment.

In the past, there were reports that the basis has been made compulsory for the second installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Award Fund (PM-Kisan) scheme. In fact, in February in the letter sent to the State Governments, the Central Agriculture Ministry had said that the Aadhar number must be made compulsory for the second and subsequent installment. However it is now clear that the base for farmers will not be mandatory for the second installment.

Earlier, on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture, it was said that the State Governments create a database of beneficiaries in small and marginal farmers in the villages. Let us know that Prime Minister Narendra Modi started the PM-Kisan Yojana on February 24 from Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh. Under this, the first installment of 2000 rupees was released to more than 10 million farmers.

Presenting the budget on February 1, Piyush Goyal presented the interim budget. In this budget, the farmers' scheme was started. Under this scheme, assistance of direct income will be given to the small-holder farmer families having land up to 2 hectare at the rate of Rs 6,000 per annum. This amount will be transferred directly to the bank accounts of beneficiary farmers in three equal installments of Rs. 2,000 each. The government is spending Rs. 75,000 crore on the scheme.
