According to the police, Upendra, a resident of Loni from Ghaziabad, was going to the Kalkaji area of Delhi with his Datsun car carrying his three daughters and wife. When Upendra's car reached Akshardham flyover, it suddenly caught fire. Upendra immediately stopped the car from the roadside and took his daughter out on the front seat. After this, he tried to remove his wife and daughters sitting in the back seat of the car, but before that he took out his wife and the other two daughters, before the fire took the whole car in its grip. The flames were so strong that Upendra's wife and two daughters could not get out.
This heartbreaking incident happened in front of Upendra and one of his daughters. He stayed away and his wife and both daughters were burnt alive. The fire brigade was also informed of the incident, but as long as the fire brigade reached the spot and could control the fire, all three died before the painful death.
