J-K: Supreme Court ready to hear on Defense of Security Forces’ Human Rights

New Delhi| The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the petition, in which demand has been made for security of the security forces in Jammu and Kashmir from stone pelting. The petition filed by two serving army officers' daughters. In this regard, the Supreme Court has issued notice to the Center and the Jammu and Kashmir Government. The petition has sought a policy to protect the human rights of the security personnel.

The Supreme Court agreed to hear the petition related to protection of human rights of the security forces facing the attack of the crowd during the duties. Significantly, when security forces are engaged in an encounter with the terrorists, they are often pelted with stones by local youth. It is used to wander the attention of forces and help the terrorists escape.
