Internet Desk| Sachin Tendulkar was extremely naughty in his childhood. When Sachin was 11, his elder brother Ajit took him to Ramakant Achrekar for coaching. Sachin was not disciplined in the initial stage. On this matter, a slap of coach changed the world of Sachin. Ramakant Achrekar was very tough too. He never used to praise, but when he used to feel happy with my game, he sued to feed us Bhelpuri. The same coach who gave 'God' to cricket, coach Ramakant is no longer with us now. He died on Wednesday (January 2). Dronacharya Avardi and Padmashree Achrekar trained thousands of cricketers, but he has always been recognized as the master of Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli.

Sachin Tendulkar once said, 'It's a matter of my school days. I was playing with the junior team of my school (Shardashram Vidyamandir School) and our senior team was playing the final of Harris Shield in Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai). On the same day Achrekar sir organized a practice match for me. He told me to go there after school. Sir said, "I have spoken to the captain of that team, you have to bat on the fourth number." Sachin said, "I did not play that practice match and went to watch the match of the Wankhede Stadium Senior team. I was cheering the senior team of my school there. After the game I saw Achrekar Sir. I greeted him. Suddenly Sir asked me how many runs did you make today? I replied, "Sir, I have come here to cheer the senior team. Upon hearing this, Achrekar sir slapped me in front of everyone. '

Sachin further said about the episode of this slap, "Coach Achrekar said that you have not been able to play applause for others. I want you to play on the field and people will applaud for you. "Sachin Tendulkar said that I still remember one word of his (Achrekar).

Coach Achrekar used to express his happiness by serving us Bhelpuri

Sachin Tendulkar first came to Achrekar when he was 11 years old. It is a coincidence that Achrekar too started playing cricket at the age of 11. However, he has never been able to play for the country. Sachin has mentioned this in his book ‘Playing It My Way’. He wrote, "Guru Achrekar once told me that he also started playing cricket in 1943 at the age of 11 in 1943. Later he played for many clubs. These include Gulmohar Mills and Mumbai Fort. He also got a chance to play a first-class match in 1963. They played this match on behalf of State Bank of India, but could not increase the career beyond this.”
