Entertainment| Village Rockstars has not got place in 9 films for the next round of voting in foreign language category. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced the names of the films selected in the next round for Best Foreign Category on Monday. Rima Das has directed the Village Rockstars.

Birds of Passage (Colombia), The Guilty (Denmark), Never Look Away (Germany), Shoplifts (Japan), Ayka (Kazakhstan), Capernaum (Lebanon), Roma (Mexico), Cold War (Poland) and Burning (South) Korea) Movies have reached the next round for voting in the foreign category. Let us tell you that 87 films of the world for the 91st Academy Awards were submitted in this category.

In Oscars, only five films of India have been able to reach only the top five in foreign language film category, including 'Mother India', 'Salaam Bombay' and 'Lagan: Once Upon a Time in India'.

This film won 'Golden Kamal' for Best Feature Film in the 65th National Film Awards. Later, getting entry into Oscars is very big thing for artists and makers. The film came in 2017, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival. Rima is also a producer and editor of the film.

Village Rockstars had overtaken many big films for the Oscars nomination, in which Hindi films such as Padmavat, Raazi, Hichki, October, Love Sonia, Pihu, Kadwi Hawa, Mein Gayatri Jadhav, Biscopewala, Manto, 102 Not Out, Padman, Ajji were involved.
