Petrol and diesel prices remain unchanged across the major cities for the second consecutive day on Wednesday (March 27). Petrol is being sold at Rs. 72.86 per litre in Delhi while diesel retailed at Rs 66.49 a litre, no change compared with yesterday’s price.
People in Chennai have to shell out Rs 75.67 for a litre of petrol while diesel retailed at Rs 70.26 per litre.
In Mumbai, the petrol price costs Rs 78.48 per litre and and diesel costs Rs. 69.64 a litre according to Indian Oil Corp website.
Petrol price in Kolkata remained unchanged with Rs 74.89 per litre, while diesel is sold at Rs. 68.39 per litre.
It is worth mentioning here that the prices of retail fuel in Delhi are the cheapest in among all metro cities due to lower taxes.
Since the beginning of this year, the price of petrol was hiked by around 4 rupees per liter and the price of diesel was increased by about 5 rupees per litre.
