State-run oil marketing companies kept the retail petrol and diesel prices unchanged across major cities of the country on Monday (April 8).
Petrol is being sold at Rs. 72.85 per litre in Delhi while diesel retailed at Rs 66.11 a litre, no change compared with yesterday’s price.
People in Chennai have to shell out Rs 75.61 for a litre of petrol while diesel retailed at Rs 69.80 per litre.
In Mumbai, the petrol price costs Rs 78.42 per litre and and diesel costs Rs. 69.19 a litre according to Indian Oil Corp website.
Petrol price in Kolkata remained unchanged with Rs 74.87 per litre, while diesel is sold at Rs. 67.85 per litre.
Rates of petrol and diesel are determined daily by oil marketing companies on the basis of rupee-dollar rate and global crude oil prices.
