State-controlled oil marketing companies kept the retail petrol and diesel prices unchanged across major cities of the country on Tuesday (April 23).
In Delhi, petrol is being sold for Rs 72.95 per litre, while diesel retailed Rs 66.46 a litre,no change compared with Monday's price.
In Kolkata, petrol costs Rs 74.97 a litre, and diesel is sold at Rs 68.20 per litre. Similarly, In Mumbai, the petrol price costs Rs 78.52 per litre and diesel costs Rs.69.56 a litre according to the Indian Oil Corporation website.
In Chennai, petrol and diesel are selling for Rs 75.70 a litre and Rs 70.17 per litre, no change in rates against yesterday’s prices.
Rates of petrol and diesel are determined daily by oil marketing companies on the basis of rupee-dollar rate and global crude oil prices.
