Domestic petrol and diesel prices were revised after four days of no change in rates. Petrol prices increased by 7-9 paise per litre while diesel became costlier by 8-10 paise across major cities of the country.
In Delhi, petrol price is hiked by 7 paise per litre to Rs 73.02 as against Rs 72.95 on Wednesday, while diesel became costlier by 8 paise to Rs Rs 66.54 a litre.
In Kolkata, petrol costs Rs 75.04 a litre after a 7 paise hike, and diesel is sold at Rs 68.28 per litre s against Rs Rs 74.97 for petrol and Rs 68.28 for diesel yesterday.
In Mumbai, the petrol price hiked by 7 paise to Rs 78.59 per litre as against 78.52 on Sunday. Diesel costs Rs.69.65 a litre after 9 paise hike from yesterday’s price of Rs 69.56 a litre according to the Indian Oil Corporation website.
Similarly, in Chennai, petrol and diesel are selling for Rs 75.79 a litre and Rs 70.26 per litre, 8 paise and 9 paise more than yesterday’s prices respectively.
