State-run oil marketing companies kept the retail petrol prices unchanged for for the third consecutive day on Thursday (April 3) while diesel prices were increased by 5 paise across major cities of the country.
In national capital Delhi Petrol is being sold at Rs 72.86 a litre while diesel is sold at Rs 66.14 a litre per litre, compared with Rs 66.09 a litre on Wednesday.
In kolkata citizens have to shell out Rs. 74.88 per litre for petrol while diesel is sold at Rs 67.88 a litre, 5 paise increase from yesterday's price.
In Chennai petrol costs Rs 75.62 for a litre of petrol, while diesel costs Rs 69.83 per litre a 5 paisa increase from yesterday's price according to Indian Oil Corp website.
Similarly, petrol is retailing at Rs 78.43 per litre while diesel is sold at Rs 69.22 per litre in Mumbai.
