State-run oil marketing companies kept the prices of petrol and diesel stable across the major cities on Wednesday (April 17).
In Delhi, petrol is being sold for Rs 72.93 per litre, while diesel retailed Rs 66.31 a litre, a litre, no change compared with Tuesday's price.
In Mumbai, the petrol price costs Rs 78.50 per litre and diesel costs Rs.69.40 a litre according to the Indian Oil Corporation website. Similarly, in Chennai, petrol and diesel are selling for Rs 75.69 a litre and Rs 70.01 per litre, no change in rates against yesterday’s prices.
In Kolkata, petrol costs Rs 74.95 a litre, and diesel is sold at Rs 68.05 per litre. Rates of petrol and diesel are determined daily by oil marketing companies on the basis of rupee-dollar rate and global crude oil prices.
