After the daily revision in retail fuel prices, petrol and diesel prices slashed across the four metro cities for the second successive day in the country on Friday (May 10).
In Delhi, petrol is being sold for Rs 72.63 per litre after 21 paise cut as against Rs.72.84 on Thursday. Diesel retailed at Rs. 66.47, after 10 paise price cut as compared with Rs. 66.56 yesterday's price.
In Kolkata, the petrol price costs Rs 74.69 a litre down 20 paise compared with yesterday’s price of Rs 74.88 a litre while diesel sold at Rs.68.23, down 9 paise from Rs 68.32 a litre on Thursday as per data available with Indian Oil Corp website.
Petrol prices were reduced in Chennai by 23 paise to Rs 75.40 while diesel retailed at Rs 70.26 per litre, 10 Paise down from yesterday's rate.
Similarly, in Mumbai, citizens have to pay Rs 78.23 a litre down 21 paise compared with yesterday’s price, and diesel is sold at Rs 69.65 per litre, 9 paise less than yesterday’s rate.
Rates of petrol and diesel are determined daily by oil marketing companies on the basis of rupee-dollar rate and global crude oil prices.
