Following the daily revision in retail fuel prices, petrol prices rise raised by 5 Paise while diesel prices fell across four metropolitan cities in the country on Saturday according to Indian Oil Corporation website.
In Delhi, a litre of petrol costs Rs 72.81 per liter, while diesel is retailing at Rs. 66.60 a litre, according to Indian Oil Corporation website.
Similarly, in Mumbai, the petrol price costs Rs 75.62 per litre and and diesel costs Rs. 69.76 a litre. In Chennai, petrol costed Rs 75.62 per litre and diesel is sold at Rs 70.37 a litre.
In kolkata petrol is sold at Rs74.89 per litre and diesel priced Rs. 68.39 a litre.
Rates of petrol and diesel are determined daily by oil marketing companies on the basis of rupee-dollar rate and global crude oil prices.
Indian Oil Marketing Companies Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum revise fuel prices on a daily basis at 6 a.m.
