New Delhi, due to the continuous increase in the price of petrol for six consecutive days, there was a break on Wednesday and there was no change in the price of diesel too. According to the website of Indian Oil, petrol prices in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, and Chennai remain at Rs 74.20, Rs 76.89, Rs 79.86 and Rs 77.13 per liter respectively. The price of diesel in the four metros also remained unchanged at Rs 65.84, Rs 68.25, Rs 69.06 and Rs 69.59 per liter respectively.
Brent crude's January contract on the International Futures Market Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) was up 0.31 percent from the previous session on Wednesday at $ 60.94 a barrel, while in the previous session, Brent was up 2.71 percent to $ 60.75 a barrel. The barrel was closed.
US light crude was trading 0.18 percent higher at $ 55.45 a barrel in the West Texas Intermediate January contract.
