Pakistan, facing the financial crisis, will now remove some of its problems by selling donkeys. In case of the largest population of donkeys, Pakistan comes third in the world. China is one of the world's largest countries where donkeys have the highest population. In Pakistan, the donkey population is estimated to be around 50 lakhs.
Earlier in February, China had offered crores of rupees to remove Pakistan's economic problems. Now Pakistan will send donkeys to China in exchange for this. Donkeys in China are highly valued because they are used in making traditional Chinese medicines. Gelatin, made from donkey skin, is said to have medicinal properties. This leads to better blood and immune systems.
An official of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa said that Chinese companies are keen to invest in Pakistan to farm donkeys. According to the media report, foreign companies can invest Rs 21,000 crore in Pakistan.
In order to increase the country's exports, the Live Stock Department has said that for the first time, special farm of donkeys will be started. Farms are being started in foreign partnership with Dera Ismail Khan and Mansehra. In the first three years, the government wants to export about 80 thousand donkeys.
