Since the Motor Vehicles Amendment Act came into effect on September 1, the country has seen an unbelievable amount of Challan issued for violating the traffic rules. Have a look:
1.) A truck owner from Rajasthan had to pay a fine of Rs 1,41,700, the highest challan issued ever since the new motor vehicles bill came into action, for overloading his truck on September 5 in Delhi.
2.) A Truck driver, with a Nagaland registration number in Sambalpur, Odisha was fined ₹86,500 on September 9. He violated these rules: driving without a license, allowing unauthorized persons to drive, and carrying over-dimension projection load and for overloading with an excess of 18 tonne.
3.) A Man in Delhi was fined ₹27,000 on September 3. He violated these rules:
violation of restriction of time in no entry, driving without fitness certificate, driving without license, driving without insurance and misbehaviour with police officer.
4.) An auto driver in Gurugram was fined ₹32,500 on September 5. He was caught jumping a red light signal. He also violated many other rules and his vehicle was seized.
