It all started 16 years ago when the dexterous Ayano created a scarecrow and dressed him up in her father’s clothes prevent birds eating the seeds she had planted in her garden.
Talking about preparing these effigies, she said that she makes them of wooden sticks and fill the body with newspaper. She makes the skin from elastic and fabric, and hair is made of wool. To make the effigy look like humans, they give color to cheeks and lips with pink color.
These dolls are kept outside of every street corner and house. Tsukimi further said that there is no child in this village. Here the youngest man is 55 years old. The people of this village migrated to the cities.
