Do you know why cows in America have holes in their stomachs?
In America, the cow's belly is pierced and the cow lives with this hole without any problems. It sounds a bit scary to hear, but you will be surprised to know the reason behind it. Portia is a cow at Tufts University. She has been living since 2002 with a large hole in her abdomen. The hole was placed for the purpose so that scientists could study its digestive system.
Also in America, farmers often pierce the stomach of a cow. Farmers in America do this to clean the stomach of a cow. Because, if the farmer leaves the cow to graze, many times the cow eats plastic polythene and this causes many diseases. Then their stomach is cleaned by putting their hands in these holes.
The farmer has something like a plastic lid on this hole and it is opened and cleaned by putting a hand in the cow's stomach. Even after the operation, the cow has no problem with this hole for a lifetime.
