Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India has revealed its Bharat Stage VI, which is the BS6 engine ACTIVA 125 and it will start selling in the country by the end of the year. Sales of the BS6-powered Honda Activa 125 will start from the second quarter of the financial year 2019-20. It is estimated that the scooter will reach the showroom till September 2019. Brands ambassador Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu were also present in the company management, while removing the curtain from Honda's new Activa 125base 6. Hero MotoCorp has also recently got a BS6 certificate for Splendor iSmart, which makes it clear that after four-wheelers, the two-wheeler maker companies are now cautious with the forthcoming BS6 norms.
Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India will provide a fuel-injected engine with the new BS6 Activa 125, which has become the second scooter of India, which has been given this technique. Before this technology has been provided with Hero Maestro AG 125, the company has given the same 125cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine in the BS6 standard Activa 125 that came with the company's PGM-FI fuel injection technology. This engine has the ability to generate 8.4 bhp power and 10.5 Nm peak torque and the company has equipped it with a CVT gearbox.
The side stand indicator is given and the scooter will not start until the side stand is engagged.
The new activa 125 BS6 has a 4-in-1 ignition switch that is installed in the outer part of the scooter. Scooters have been given a new semi-digital console, which has come up with many new information like the Range and Average Fuel Efficiency, along with the Side Stand indicator, and the safety of the scooter will not start until side stand is engagged. Idle stop system is also given in the new activa. To counter new Activa125 BS6 in India, TVS Entk 125, Aprilia SR 125, Hero Maestro Edge, Suzuki Bergman Street 125 and many such scooters are present in the market.
