Skoda is currently working on his Next Generation Octavia RS, which will be launched by 2021. The company will also provide hybrid variants with gasoline and diesel engine options.
Skoda's R & D boss Christian Strube said about hybrid powertrain, "Octavia is a good possibility, perhaps in an RS version because it is a good mix between stability and performance. If you drive it up to 70 kilometers then you can drive everyday for elecrified work and if you want some fun in the weekend then you should go for an RS version."
Škoda will launch the plug-in hybrid in its superb till next year. Strobe said PHEV will have as much or as little of a similar powertraine and it has been previewed like the Vision RS concept shown at the Paris Motor Show.
The 1.5 liter turbo petrol engine in the Octavia RS Hybrid will give power of 150hp. Along with this, the electric motor in the car will give additional power of 102hp which will give the power of 245hp in total and it takes 7.1 seconds to catch the 0 to 100 km speed. Similar setup will be given in the Octavia RS Hybrid, but it will get more power to make the performance car worthy.Rajasthan Tourism App - Welcomes to the land of Sun, Sand and adventures
