At least 49 people were killed and 20 seriously injured after a mass shootout in two mosques in the city of Christchurch in New Zealand, in a carefully planned and unprecedented attack that usually shocked the peaceful nation.
New Zealand's Prime Minister, Jacqueline Ardern called the incident a terrorist attack on Friday's press conference, the suspects kept "extremist ideas", which have no place in New Zealand or the world.
The city has been locked down, i.e. no one can go out of town or nobody can enter. Police have said that an attacker in Christchurch is active and due to which the circumstances are serious and are changing rapidly.
Both mosques are in Christchurch city center. A number of weapons were also recovered at both the Linwood and Dean Avenue locations.
The attacker, who recognized himself as a Brenton Tarrant, a 28-year-old Australia-born person went into a shooting spree within the mosques. Before the attack, he posted a picture of himself in the car with loaded weapons and streamed the video of the shoot. Later, Bush said that he has been accused of killing a person in the late 20's'.
