Maruti Suzuki has finally launched its new Wagon R in India. Bookings for this car had already been started. New Third Generation Wagon R is significantly different than its international model. It's based on Heartect like Swift and Dzire. The new car is much larger than the previous model and it has more equipment. This car is competing in the Indian market, especially from Hyundai's Santro.

New Generation Wagon R is 3655mm long and 1620mm wide. Its wheelbase is 2435mm. This car has new floating roof designs, new ORVMs and new LED taillamps. Here in the cabin, the new dashboard is provided with the SmartPlay Studio Infotainment System. Also, features such as climate control will also be available. Here the controls for music and telephone are given in the steering itself.

Speak of safety features, standardized all-variants here are driver side airbags, ABS with EBD, front seat belt reminder, speed alert system and rear parking sensor. Although passenger side airbags are not standardized here.

Speak of Mechanical Specifications, here is a 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder petrol engine in 2019 Wagon R. This is the same unit which is found in Ignis, Swift, Dzire and Baleno. These engines generate 83PS power and 113Nm pick torque. There will be 5-speed AMT and standard manual transmission for transmission. Although the engine will come only in the top two V and Z variants. Also, here is a 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder engine. This motor generates a power of 68PS and a 90.9 peak torque. There will be standard transmission only here.
