Maruti Suzuki, the country's largest carmaker, has introduced a new version of its popular hatchback Car Wagon R in the market, which is in line with Bharat Stage-6 emission standard. The new car is equipped with a 1.2 liter petrol engine. Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) has informed the stock exchanges that on the basis of the feature, the price of different models of this edition will be between Rs 5.10 lakh and Rs 5.91 lakh in the Delhi showroom. In the rest of India, its price will be between Rs 5.15 lakh and Rs 5.96 lakh.
According to the company, the price of the car has increased by up to Rs 16,000 compared to the previous version.
Maruti said that it has also revised prices of a liter petrol engine car. Its price will be between Rs 4.34 lakh and Rs 5.33 lakh in Delhi showrooms, but in the rest of the country it will be between Rs 4.39 lakh and Rs 5.38 lakh.
The company said that its premium hatchback car Swift's petrol and diesel variants are now in line with the 'AIS -145 safety standards'. In addition, the car's petrol variant is in line with BS-6 emission standards, due to the price of each model of the car increased. The company said that the price of car in Delhi-NCR will be between Rs 5.14 lakh and Rs 8.89 lakh depending on the feature. The company also announced the introduction of the CNG version of the initial hatchback car Alto in the market.
