The country's largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki launched its new 2019 Wagon R in January. At that time the company did not give the option of CNG-powered version in this tall boy WagonR hatchback. According to sources, there will be CNG option in two variants of the new Wagon R, but it will be given only with one engine. The CNG variant of Wagon R will be available in three color options.

According to sources, the CNG option will be given in the base variants LXi and LXi (O) of Maruti Wagon R. Both of these variants are with 1.0 liter petrol engine. The price of CNG Wagon R can be Rs 4.84 lakh and Rs 4.91 lakh (ex-showroom). If the CNG variant of Wagon R launches at this price, then it can beat the CNG variants of Hyundai Santro. The starting price of Santro's CNG variant is Rs 5.23 lakh, but the option of CNG in its top variant has been given.
CNG will be launched in three color variants - White, Silver and Gray, while the company has given 6 color options in its petrol variant. Its 1.0 liter CNG K-series engine will generate 59bhp power and 70Nm torque. At the same time, it gives the power of 67bhp and the torque of 90Nm in petrol engine. CNG engines will come with manual transmission only.
The 2019 Maruti Suzuki WagonR is available in two engines. The 1.0 liter K-Series engine generates maximum power of 67 bhp. At the same time, the 1.2-liter K12B engine generates maximum power of 82 bhp. Both engines have a 5-speed manual gearbox. At the same time, customers also get the option of automatic transmission (AMT) in this car. The initial X-showroom price of 2019 Maruti Suzuki Wagon R is 4.18 lakh, which goes up to Rs 5.69 lakh on top end-models. On the new Maruti Wagon R, one month after the launch, customers are given a 2-3-month waiting period on behalf of the company.
