Porsche India has launched the 2019 Porsche 911, priced at Rs 1.82 crores in India in two variants – 911 Carrera S and the 911 Carerra S Cabriolet. This is the 8th generation of this sports car that was first showcased at the 2018 LA Auto Show. The company has kept the style and design of the car almost the same but some changes are made in the interior of the car.
The biggest change has been done in the car's engine and its frame. The new generation Porsche 911 has a 6-cylinder petrol engine that comes with a new fuel injection system. The car is equipped with a 3.0-litre engine and an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox with a 7-speed manual.
Porsche has engineered the engine in both variants of 911 Carrera, generate 444 bhp power, it is 30 bhp more than the previous model.
With 8-speed automatic gearbox, the new Carrera S is capable of sprinting from 0 -100kmph in just 3.7-seconds and is just about 0.1-seconds slower than the Carrera 4S that does three digit figures in 3.6-seconds. The top speed of Karera S is 307 km / h, while the top speed of the Karera 4S is 305 km / h.
In terms of design, the new 911 Carrera has retained its iconic styling with mild tweaks for freshness. The vehicle now gets a new multifunctional steering wheel and instrument console, which comes with both analog reverse counter digital pods on both sides. The car's dashboard has a 10.9-inch touchscreen input system, which comes in both variants, usually with Porsche Communication Management.
