This is upsetting news for a lot of Hexa and SUV owners. After a few recent media reports Tata Motors has released a statement that the Hexa SUV will be discontinued sometime next year. Harrier 7 seater will replace these. The 7 seater Harrier is already one of the most awaited SUVs in the Indian Market.
The most expensive passenger vehicle sold by Tata Motors is Tata Hexa which was launched as a replacement for the Tata Aria. The SUV was launched in January 2017. Telling about Hexa sales, it has been declining regularly by more than 60% every month in 2019.
According to a leaked document, Tata Motors has made revisions to the NVH levels, touchscreen system, steering response and the clutch of Harrier. The features which make Harrier different are that it will be 63 mm longer and 80 mm taller than the regular 5-seat SUV. The length is increased to accommodate the 3rd-row seats and the coupe line roofline will be replaced with tall boxy stance to suffice enough headroom for third-row passengers.
Speaking about exteriors, the main changes will stick to the rear end and the front fascia will more or less look the same. The interiors will have features like dual function LED DRL’s with turn indicators, leather upholstery, projector headlamps etc. Safety features will include 6-airbags, ABS with EBD and ESP, hill hold and hill descent control, reverse parking sensors, seat belt reminders and others.
