Superbikes manufacturer Motoroyale Kinetic is planning to make a 300 cc-500cc-class motorbike by year 2021 in India. On the occasion of dealership launch, the company has been told that a new assembly plant is being set up in Supa, Maharashtra, which will have the capacity to produce 60,000 vehicles.
The company currently imports high-powered motorbikes or superbikes as a Complexly Knocked Down (CKD) and assembles at Ahmednagar plant in Maharashtra.
Motorcycles Kinetic Managing Director Ajinkya Firodia told select media persons here that the company is considering developing the 300cc-500cc Motorbike, which will cost between Rs 2-3 lakhs. This plan will be implemented in 2021.
On asking whether the Indian company will develop it by itself or will partner with a foreign company. He said that it will be decided later on.
Motoroyle Kinetic had announced a partnership with Italian company MV Agusta in May of 2016. After that, the company had formed an international joint venture in November 2017 in collaboration with Britain's motorcycle brand Norton. Apart from this, the company has created three more international brands - SWM, A B.
