Maruti Suzuki Baleno equipped with the Suzuki smart hybrid vehicle system is to be launched in India soon. It has been confirmed through the Spy Photos of the test model. The model which is seen is the 2019 Baleno Facelift and this car will soon be seen with SHVS badging in the market. However, Maruti Suzuki has not shared any information about Maruti Suzuki Baleno SHVS.
Suzuki's Smart Hybrid Vehicle System is a Mild Hybrid System that works through an Integrated Starter Generator and enhances engine power. At present, only SHVS technology is being provided with Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and New Generation Artiga, Baleno may be the next car in which the company will provide this technology. For the moment, the company has made SHVS technology available in a 1.3-litre diesel engine and 1.5-litre petrol engine.
Maruti Suzuki has already provided Baleno with SHVS system in Foreign market and after seeing recent spy shots, the company seems to launch its premium car soon in India. The car looks like the old model and the car that has been spotted is Baleno's top model which has come with new Diamond Cut Alloy Wheels, LED Taylamps, Projector Headlamps and LED DRLs. At present, Maruti Suzuki Baleno comes with 1.2-liter petrol engine and 1.3-liter diesel engine, which generates 83 and 74 bhp power respectively. The company has given these two engines normally 5-speed manual gearbox and as a substitute, CVT automatic transmission with Baleno petrol has been given.
