Hyundai has launched the CNG variant of the Grand i10 in the Indian market. The Hyundai Grand i10 CNG variant comes priced at Rs 6.39 lakh, ex-showroom (Delhi).
It is about 67,000 rupees more expensive than the petrol version. The option of CNG was first available only to Grand I10 Prime for taxi operators, but now the Korean car manufacturer makes available it for private buyers as well.
It comes decently well equipped with features like roof rails, remote locking, Bluetooth audio system with steering mounted controls, rear AC vents, and a power outlet, all four power windows, and electrically adjustable ORVMs. As a Standard Safety, the car is part of the features such as Front Airbags, ABS and EBD.
Hyundai Grand i10 CNG has a 1.2-liter four-cylinder engine which generates 82hp of power and 110Nm torque on gasoline and 66hp of power and 98Nm on CNG. The engine is equipped with 5-speed manual transmission. After Santro, Grand i10 is the second car that has given the option of CNG and it gives a tough competition to mid-size hatchback Maruti Suzuki Swift and Ford Figo, which is available in both petrol and diesel options.
