South Korea's automobile company Kia is launching its best-selling car at a very low cost in the Indian market. The company has targeted to make more than 200 touch points in 160 cities in the country and Kia's dealerships can start from July 15. Bookings of Kia Seltos will start on July 16 and customers can book this powerful car by paying 25,000 advance payments.
Kia Seltos will be available with three BSVI-compliant engine options -- 1.5-litre petrol, 1.5-litre diesel and 1.4-litre turbo petrol. While there will be a standard 6-speed manual gearbox on offer, there are three automatic transmissions -- 7-speed DCT, IVT and 6-speed AT. The SUV will be available in the GT line and Tech line trims. Now, these two trims will have further sub-divisions into different variants depending on the features. The vehicle will have Sports, Normal and Eco driving modes and Mud, Snow/Wet and Sand traction modes.
The Seltos will come loaded with premium features like a 10.25-inch infotainment system, an 8-inch HUD, reclining rear seats, automatic climate control and an 8-speaker Bose sound system. It also gets an air purifier, ventilated seats and a plethora of connected tech just like the Hyundai Venue.
When launched, expect it to be priced between Rs 10 lakh to Rs 16 lakh (ex-showroom pan India). The Kia Seltos will take on the Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, MG Hector and the Nissan Kicks in India.
