Yadav was named in the FIR on July 2.
Yadav's named , according to the police , was included in the FIR after the mastermind of the case, Vijay Kumar during his interrogation told the police that Yadav had offered him RS 1 crore with instruction to desecrate the book. Malerkotla police has arrested Vijay Kumar, Nand Kishore Goldy and Gaurav who have confessed to the crime.
