Apple CEO Tim Cook witnesses IPL match in India


Kanpur. Tech giant Apple CEO Tim Cook’s India visit is going on a great note, as he witnessed the IPL match between Gujarat Lions and Kolkata Knight Riders on Thursday here.

Jim, who is in first visit to India, came to the Green Park to attend India Premiere League (IPL) match on the invitation of IPL chairman and Congress leader Rajeev Shukla.

Talking about the ambience at the IPL match, Cook said it was ‘exciting’. “It’s tough to watch in this heat but it’s always exciting to watch cricket.” He told in an interview at the ground to IPL’s official broadcaster Sony Six channel.

Talking about his overall experience being in India, he said: "It's hugely important and the talent here is incredible. It’s unbelievable being here." In his message to youngsters, Cook said: "Do what you love and have fun." 

Earlier in the day, he was in Hyderabad at the inauguration of Apple's Map Development Centre.
