Apple CEO Tim Cook meets Narendra Modi, launched updated Modi App


New Delhi: World-renowned IT Company Apple Inc. Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday in Delhi and launches the updated version of ‘Modi Mobile App’.

In a meassge on Twitter PM Modi thanked Cook for launcing the app. "I am delighted to share that Mr Tim Cook launched an updated version of Narendra Modi mobile app. Thank you, Mr Cook." PM Modi said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi added in his Tweet, "This updated version contains a new volunteering network on the app. I urge you to have a look at the new feature 'My Network' that empowers you to contibute on lively and enriching forums where you can share your ideas and deliberate with others. You will also enjoy the daily tasks on the app."

Cook too thanked PM Modi on Twitter. "Thanks PM @narendramodi for a great meeting. Already looking forward to next visit to India. Best wishes on the app!" wrote Apple CEO who is on a week-long tour to India.

Cook, who is on a four-day trip to India, has met some of the key leaders of India Inc, including ICICI Bank’s Chanda Kochhar, Tata Group Chairman Cyrus Mistry and Tata Consultancy Services CEO N Chandrasekaran.

 On Friday, Cook met Sunil Bharti Mittal, chairman of India's largest telecom operator Bharti Airtel, and discussed matters like 4G roll out in the country and strong growth being witnessed in the Indian telecom space.
