Anushka hits back at haters criticizing her role in Sultan


Mumbai: Since Sultan hit the screens, films' leading lady Anushka Sharma, who essayed the role of a promising wrestler Aarfa, has been criticised for sacrificing her Olympic medal dream to become a mother. Addressing this criticism, the leading lady of ‘Sultan’ shared a post of former World No. 1 tennis star Victoria Azarenka’s pregnancy announcement that well explained her character’s decision in the film.

“Wanted to share this for those who couldn’t understand Aarfa’s decision in Sultan, maybe this will put things in perspective,” she tweeted on Saturday.

Further, the-28-year-old star shared another powerful tweet, saying, “Choosing motherhood over career is empowering. Choosing your career over motherhood is empowering. The Freedom to CHOOSE is empowering.”
