Another hit-and-run case in jaipur, three died as car rams into bike


Jaipur: In yet another case of hit-and-run in the city, three persons of a family died on the spot after a speeding car rammed into their bike late on Tuesday night near RIICO road in Bagru area at the outskirts of the city. According to station house officer of Bagru police station Anil Kumar Sharma, the incident took place at 11.30 pm when Om Prakash (23), his cousin Sitaram (29) and their uncle Gopal (50), were returning to their village in Bhopa ki Dhani from Nayala.

"A swift car, coming from the opposite direction hit them head on. After being hit by the car, Om Prakash and Sitaram were tossed in the air. They were killed after crashing on the road. Gopal, was dragged along with the car for a few miles as a piece of his shirt got entangled with the car's bumper," Sharma said.

After the accident, the car lost its balance, hit the median and plunged into a nearby dried-up culvert. The police said that driver of the car escaped from the spot. The vehicles passing by the petrol pumps near RIICO road spotted the victims and informed the police and ambulance. 

"The trio was rushed to the hospital where they were declared brought dead," the police said. As per the primary investigation, the trio was involved in cattle business and was headed towards their home after winding up some business work in Nayla. The intensity of the accident can be gauged by the fact that the bike was completely mangled after the crash; the shock absorbers of the bike were found a few meters away from the spot, and the fuel tank of the bike was completely smashed in the accident.

The police found have started the search for the accused driver based on the registration number of the car. Police sources said that car belonged to somebody in Chitroli village.
