Family of a 20- year-old youth has filed a missing complaint with Kasargod police. The missing youth, Abdul Harris, left his home in Adhur village in the district a year before for a job in Ernakulam. He was in contact with his family until six months ago. Police have not yet confirmed any ISIS links to the missing case.
Though, all angles counting whether he knew those who went missing are being examined. His case is under doubt as he studied in a school in Trikkaripur that is close to the homes of the missing youths from the place, previous to he left. This is the subsequent time an occurrence of missing came to light in Kasargod district.
In July, 15 youths from Kerala's Kasaragod and Palakkad districts, who had travelled to the Middle East, went missing. Their families alleged that they may have connected the Islamic State. Sources has also further conveyed that all the youths hail from middle class families and had been showing keen interest in religious matters since the previous two years. The Adhur police here have begun investigation into the prolonged missing of Abdul Harris, 20, a native of Cheenapadi here.
He has been missing for nearly eight months. Sources have also further conveyed that, the youth, who was expected to join the family during Eid-ul-Fitr, stopped contacting his family over the past eight months.
