New Delhi: Alcatel launched new smartphone ‘pop star’ in India on Monday. Priced at Rs 6,999, the smartphone runs Android Lollipop and available in Metal Gold and Metal Silver colours. The company has confirmed the new Pop Star phone will be available exclusively on Gadgets 360 e-commerce site.
The new phone sports a 5.0-inch HD screen with full lamination to provide clarity under direct sunlight for reading on the display and it comes with MediaTek quad-core processor backed by 1GB RAM, 8GB inbuilt storage, with support for microSD cards of up to 32GB capacity.
The smartphone has an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera. It also comes with a 2,000 mAh battery.
The company had earlier launched three smartphones in its Pop series- Pop 4, Pop 4+ and Pop 4s. The Pop 4 features a 5-inch display, while both the Pop 4+ and Pop 4s have 5.5-inch display.
