NCP leader Ajit Pawar, who is known for being blunt, on Tuesday asserted there was a time when lawmakers used to defect for Rs. 50 lakh, but these days not even a corporator can be made to switch the sides with that amount.
Mr Pawar, who was talking at a party meet in Karmala in Solapur area, reviewed the occurrence of how the Vilasrao Deshmukh-drove state government needed to ship its legislators to Bangalore to stay away from any kind of steed exchanging before the greater part vote.
