PUNE: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today reported that a group of Airports Authority of India has given final approval to a proposed site for the Pune International Airport in Purandar tehsil of the area.
"The group of AAI, which had directed attainability review of proposed area in Purandar tehsil, has given its endorsement and AAI has concurred that the area is appropriate. Since the approval has come, we will now begin the further procedure and we are cheerful that the neighborhood individuals too are certain about the airplane terminal," he said.
The government will now hold a meeting with Maharashtra Airport Development Authority, Mr Fadnavis said.
At first, the state government was thinking about Khed teshil for the air terminal and AAI had completed overview of two locales there. Be that as it may, later the center moved to Purandar tehsil.
